BITSAT Pilani Exam Pattern and Syllabus Download

BITSAT Pilani 2019 Exam Pattern and Syllabus: – Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani is a premier Institution of scientific and technological studies in India having a status of Deemed University under the UGC Act. The institute offers various Integrated First Degree programmers at its Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses.

For admission into these programmers BITS, Pilani conducts an all-India entrance test popularly known as BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) every year. BITSAT is a computer based online entrance test and first of its kind in India.

BITSAT Pilani Exam Pattern

The question paper consists of multiple choice type questions. Each question carrying four options from which students have to choose the right one. The question paper consists of 150 questions, which are divided into four parts:

Note :- There is a condition of negative marking in the admission test. All the instructions and questions in the entrance test are only in English medium.

BITSAT Syllabus

Mainly there are three subjects which are as follows

  1. Chemistry
  2. Physics
  3. Mathematics

Chemistry :- States of Matter Measurement: Physical quantities and SI units, Dimensional analysis, Precision, Significant figures. Chemical reactions: Laws of chemical combination, Dalton’s atomic theory; Mole concept; Atomic, molecular and molar masses; Percentage composition empirical & molecular formula; Balanced chemical equations & stoichiometry, Gaseous state: Gas Laws, ideal behavior, empirical derivation.

Physics :- Units & Measurement, Units (Different systems of units, SI units, fundamental and derived units) Dimensional Analysis, Precision and significant figures, Fundamental measurements in Physics (Vernier calipers, screw gauge, Physical balance etc), Kinematics, Properties of vectors, Position, velocity and acceleration vectors, Motion with constant acceleration , Projectile motion Uniform circular motion, Relative motion, Newton’s Laws of Motion

Mathematics Syllabus :-

3. Two and Three Dimensional Coordinate Geometry

4. Differential Calculus

5. Integral Calculus

6. Vector

7. Linear Programming
