Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) has conducts Common Admission Test is also known as CAT. It’s an All India National level computer based test. CAT is conducted for admission in Management courses in various examination centers in all over India. This Exam is based on CAT percentile total, Group Discussion, Thesis and Personal Interview. CAT Exam Syllabus 2019:
CAT syllabus is basically divided into Four Parts are given below:
English (Verbal Ability): Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc
Math/Quant Ability: Number systems, geometry, trigonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, menstruation, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations.
Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), Venn diagram.
Logical Reasoning: Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement.
CAT Exam Pattern:
There are a two section in this exam. The first section is Data Interpretation and the second section is Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. Duration of Exam is 140 Minutes. Each section is separate time (70 minutes) and same Questions (30 questions). 15-minutes tutorial will be provided before the start of the Test. Candidate is advice to go carefully before starting the main exam. The total time duration of examination will be 2 hours and 45 minutes including the tutorial time.
